Trustee

In plain English

The person or entity that legally holds trust property and manages it for the beneficiaries.

A trustee is a fiduciary. A trust can have multiple trustees (co-trustees), a corporate trustee (a bank or trust company), or a non-corporate individual. In a revocable living trust the grantor is often also the initial trustee.
